This textbook, written by Avendium Acheron, Phellus Plegethon, Luna Lethe, Cirus Coctyus, and Seripha Styx, is an amalgamation of topics from the Wizarding world. Some Muggle topics are also included, but Muggles are not the primary topic of a Wizarding textbook. Please use this textbook responsibly. Being a Complete guide to the Wizarding World also means that it contains both Legal, ministry-approved topics, and illegal topics, so the use or intended use of information marked with “URI” (Unaproved / Restricted Information) may result in a punishment from a simple fine and up to a life sentence at Azkaban. Avendium has also included a number of Charms and enchantments attached to the pages of this book, allowing for a greater educational experience.

Lethifold Shroud

Mandrake Root

Mandrakes are typically planted for their medicinal qualities, which aid greatly in curing those who are Petrified. As a wand core, the Mandrake root serves as a protective agent, generating defensive spells that rival those produced by wands containing Phoenix Tail feathers. It is said that the owner of a mandrake root wand possesses a degree of resistance to Petrification, not granting full immunity but protecting against some of the affliction's effects. However, this is but hearsay and has yet to be proven.

Manticore Stinger

A Manticore's sting carries the risk of mortality. Therefore, these wands are dangerous to create and wield, but highly effective in the Dark Arts and Defense. These wand cores provide exceptional power to the user, making them a formidable instrument in a duel. Yet, their toxicity can permeate the wand's handle, rendering them useless for brewing poisons. By nature, Manticores possess a powerful appetite for violence; thus, they are highly likely to bond with a compatible wielder who shares their blood thirst.

Mermaid Scales

Mermaid scales and hair wands are typically handed down through families, much like the Chimaera scale and basilisk skin wands. They grant high levels of strength, but they also form a strong bond with their wielders, making them less useful to those who acquire it through less reputable means. Mermaid wands are temperamental, but they tend to gravitate towards individuals who possess wisdom and restraint, not those who are consumed by greed. Their scales are ideal for Transfiguration, whereas their hair performs the best when it comes to Astronomy and Potions. They excel when it comes to magic that aligns with nature and the elements; therefore, outdoorsy spells tend to be the most effective with these wands.
