Backstory:
Carmen's unique journey into the magical realm matched her uniqueness. Carmen, born to non-magical parents in Spain, had her life change drastically at the age of two when she became an orphan and was raised by her aunt Isabel, a well-known magical historian and a witch fascinated by the mysterious. From the moment she first held her, Isabel saw the same promise in her young niece.
Carmen's upbringing was different from that of a typical child. Rather than being brought up in one household, she grew up in different locations across the globe. Isabel's job led them to the ancient pyramids of Egypt, the mystical temples of Tibet, the deep jungles of South America, and the frozen landscapes of Siberia. Every place concealed mysteries from the enchanting realm, and Carmen, with eyes opened wide and filled with curiosity, soaked up all that she could.
Isabel, while highly committed to her job, also acted as a caring protector who cultivated Carmen's innate skills. Early on, she noticed that Carmen stood out from other magical kids. Carmen had a unique connection to magic that allowed her to perceive its presence and movements in a way that others could not. She tapped into the fundamental power of magic, effortlessly shaping it to obey her commands.
When she was eight years old, Carmen had already mastered the basic spells theory that most Hogwarts students don't learn until their first or second years. However, her skills extended past just theory. Carmen had the ability to detect magical objects before they became visible, frequently helping her aunt to find things that would have gone undiscovered.
Isabel ensured that Carmen received a comprehensive and unique education. Carmen discovered mystical beings in remote areas, examined old symbols, and explored the past of disappeared magical societies. Isabel also educated Carmen on the significance of equilibrium in magic, cultivating in her a profound appreciation for the powers she was mastering. Nevertheless, even though Isabel imparted her knowledge to her, she made sure not to disclose everything too quickly, recognizing that Carmen must discover things on her own.
