Backstory
⫸ My Journey to Hogwarts
I walked down the main street of Diagon Alley & looked all around me while hundreds of students squeezed through many of the shops. My third year is finally here! This year, I knew that I could finally go to Hogsmeade with my friends. Before I could get permission however, I needed new uniform robes from Madam Malkin's, as well as several third year books at Flourish & Blotts. I just had to make my way to Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes to window shop all of their new products. Before school shopping was completed, I also bought some potion ingredients from the apothecary, & squeezed my way through the stationary store to purchase some quills & parchment.
On the Hogwarts Express, I just had to buy some Pumpkin Pasties & Chocolate Frogs from the Honeydukes Express Cart; a little taste for what's to come when I go to Hogsmeade! My friends & I laughed & talked until we saw the castle in the distance for the first time this year. The sunset beaming on the castle was a sight to see!
In the Great Hall, I watched as the first years get sorted into their houses & cheer loudly for those who were sorted into Gryffindor! My classmates & I talked about what we could be learning this term, as well as what we did during our summer break. In the common room, I watched as all the students headed up to their dorm while I sat in the big arm chair near the fireplace. It was all very quiet now, just the fire & I. As I listened to the crackling of the fire, I couldn't help but smile. I can't wait to study all things magical at Hogwarts!
