◈ PINE ◈
Wand Wood
Pine wands always chose an independent, individual master who might be perceived as a loner, intriguing and perhaps mysterious. Pine wands enjoyed being used creatively, and unlike some others, would adapt unprotestingly to new methods and spells. The pine wand was one of those that were most sensitive to non-verbal magic.
◈ DRAGON HEARTSTRING ◈
Wand Core
Dragon heartstring wands produced the most powerful and flamboyant magic and they learned spells faster and easier, however they were more prone to accidents. They were the most likely to change loyalty, but would always bond strongly with its current owner. It was also the easiest to turn to the dark arts, though it would not turn on its own.
◈ ALBATROSS ◈
Patronus
The albatross is often used as a symbol of endurance and resilience due to its exceptional biological adaptations, extreme lifestyle, and powerful presence in mythology and literature. This dynamic seabird will proudly soar across the ocean for hours – throwing caution to the wind and hardly bothering to flap its wings.
Those who can summon the Albatross Patronus have great endurance and value independence and adventure. They have a tendency to be truly fearless and optimistic, happy-go-lucky souls blessed with divine ambition and a drive to see their dreams and aspirations through to completion. They're motivated to keep moving and embarking on bigger and bolder journeys, even if it means leaving some things behind.

An overstressed junior doctor in the waking world. Just dipping in here occassionally to help keep the dementors away. The courses are interesting, perfectly scratching my personal need to read something didactic (and fictional) but without the traditional academic pressures.
Side note, I'd like to think that I've outgrown the "I Will Guess Your Personality" Buzzfeed type of quizzes and other similar gimmicks, but I enjoyed the Pottermore/Wizarding World spin on this. The quiz choices were vague for you to get the answers you wanted; after reading the official page on Pottermore for Wand Woods, I desperately wanted the Walnut wand—to feed my ego, mostly—but Pine turned out to be a more accurate match for me. It's also satisfying to see how my wand wood and patronus sort of aligned with similar themes. Getting the albatross patronus—a known sea bird—is a bonus, since my father is a mariner and I personally love all things maritime, from ship engineering, to navigation, to the ocean itself. It's lowkey eerie.
Don't mind me, just an on and off student, slowly making my way through courses and textbooks, occassionally peeking at profiles to read the creative backstories everyone has posted. Glad to see how, despite its age in modern literature, people still find ways to enjoy the world of Harry Potter.
See you all around at the Great Hall.
