Backstory

I came to Hogwarts knowing that I was a Ravenclaw or bust- the Sorting Hat could read my creativity, eccentricities, and knew I had to be amongst others who thirst for knowledge like I do. Oddly enough, my mother was a Hufflepuff during her time at Hogwarts, and she now works in the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes at the Ministry. I believe I got most of my Ravenclaw qualities from my Muggle father, who is a librarian and composer. Being a half-blood in the Wizarding and Muggle World has always made me feel split- I know far more about Muggles than most wizards my age and I have a huge secret to hide whenever I'm around Muggles. I was born mere months after The Battle of Hogwarts, and though He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named had been defeated, my parents still struggled with raising a half-blood daughter. I recall bring-your-child-to-work days being very different depending on whether mom or dad took me that year. However, something about my father's work intrigued me more. The Ministry was spectacular, to say the least, but all I wanted to do was live among the bookshelves in my father's library. A different kind of magic lived between the pages of every Muggle book I came across.

If I'm being truthful, my WILDEST dream job after graduating from Hogwarts would be as a songwriter and author. I want to bridge the gap between music from the Wizarding World and music from the Muggle world, and possibly create music both under a Muggle and Wizard stage name. However, I know that not only is the music industry in both worlds a difficult business to break into, but I know the task of bridging both worlds could be risky particularly for the Wizarding World. So, my OTHER more PRACTICAL dream job is working for the Department of International Magical Cooperation, traveling the world, working, and meeting with other wizards of all bloodlines as well as muggles. But who knows what'll happen from now until graduation!
