I was born in England, but my family moved to America eight years ago. I've grown up with the knowledge that when I turned eleven, we'd move back to our roots in England. I wasn't all that happy about it, but when I saw the castle, all my doubts vanished. This was where I wanted to be, and there was absolutely no way I wanted to leave.
Name: Kina Cathryne Landers (just Brightsky if you don't want to roleplay)
House: Totally Ravenclaw!!! (The Sorting Hat had to actually stop and think for a minute because I was thinking so fast!)
Appearance: Tall and skinny (clothes never quite fit me, they're always a bit baggy), blue eyes and tangled brown hair (I have to use magic to get it fixed up, hairbrushes never really help), really freckled
Personality: Outgoing, protective, enthusiastic, bookish, stubborn
Family: Mom and Dad, Grandma Nani
Job Interest: Healer, Magizoologist, Author, Librarian, MoM
"Honestly, Hermione, you think all teachers are saints or something,"
Wand: Cypress and Dragon Heartstring, 14 inches, inflexible
Cypress wands are associated with nobility. The great medieval wandmaker, Geraint Ollivander, wrote that he was always honoured to match a cypress wand, for he knew he was meeting a witch or wizard who would die a heroic death. Fortunately, in these less blood-thirsty times, the possessors of cypress wands are rarely called upon to lay down their lives, though doubtless many of them would do so if required. Wands of cypress find their soul mates among the brave, the bold and the self-sacrificing: those who are unafraid to confront the shadows in their own and others’ natures.
The wands made from this core are typically the ones with the most power. They are capable of the flashiest spells and can be the most temperamental. These wands tend to bond strongly with their current owner but can also change allegiance if won from the original holder. Dragon Heartstring wands are also the easiest to turn to the dark arts and are prone to accidents.
And yes, I copied those.
Animagus: I want to become one, but I honestly don't want a Mandrake leaf in my mouth for a month(blech!)
Patronus: A german shepherd
The german shepherd is, by nature, a rescuer. They tend to seek out people in need of aid, and they gravitate toward them, having what you could call a hero complex. They are somewhat stoic in their own emotional nature, because they are much more interested in the needs of others rather than their own. Thoughts of materialistic objects and over dramatic ideals are trivial to them, because they are very simple and basic in their needs, and comfortable that way. The most common house for a german shepherd patronus is Ravenclaw. HA! Take THAT! I don't know who should take it buuuut just whatever.
Boggart: Dead friends or family
Quidditch Team: Holyhead Harpies, Tutshead Tornadoes
Quidditch Position: Chaser
Favorite Subject: Care of Magical Creatures
Least Favorite Subject: Tranfiguration (ever since I saw Professer Mitchell turn a rat into a dinner plate), also Potions, because I have a 'particular proclivity for pyrotechnics'
Pets: I have a kneazle named Fern because she once destroyed my copy of Charlotte's Web, an owl named Rowena after my magical hero, and a hippogriff called Silva
Blood Status: Muggle-born (I can HEAR YOU, all you awful people who think muggle-borns are mudbloods and I will PROVE YOU WRONG!)
Likes: Wintertime, BOOKS, my friends, books AGAIN, MORE BOOKS, animals(especially birds and horses), windy days, ice-skating
Dislikes: Dementors, mushrooms, spiders, the word porridge(brr), humid days, wasps, onions, cotton candy (yes, cotton candy), also the word banana
Favorite Characters: Luna, Dumbledore, Newt Scamander, Hermione, Fred, George, Tina, Ginny, Mcgonagall, Sprout, Pomfrey, Hedwig(DIE ALL DEATH EATERS!!!!), Newt ( again)
Favorite Hogwarts Pastime: I love to visit the library and look for some light reading (Merlin might get it), also I enjoy riding Silva above the lake on a winter day(or any day, but winter is nicest)
Amortentia: That smell the air gets when it's about to rain, baby animal fur, really old books, brand new books, applewood smoke, echinacea flowers
Least Favorite Characters: Jacob Kowalski(sorry, Kowalski fans out there!), Harry, James, Pansy Parkinson, Lucius Malfoy, Bellatrix Lestrange, WORMTAIL, I'LL KILL YOU PETTIGREW
WAAAAAAIT, he's already dead... oops...
My Friends: Merlin D. Trelawney, Matilda Scamander, Lizzie Scamander, Dora Scamander
Merlin - An awesome Ravenclaw who agrees with me on most things... but with, like, way milder views. Like this.

Extra stuff: ▼
•Never say 'my house is better than yours' or we'll be arguing for eternity
• These are all the books I've authored
•I HAVE COPIED!!!!
•I have also gotten ideas from other people's backstories, so if mine looks like yours, I probably stole some stuff(sorry!)
•I do not do dark roleplays, or torture roleplays, or any roleplay that is *makes airquotes with fingers* cool. I also don't do romance and muggle RPs. I do roleplay medieval, but not, like, highschool or anything. Also, I HATE it when people stop in the middle of a RP for no good reason. If you have a good reason, please tell me and I'll stop. But please don't just quit. I have dozens of roleplays I've given up on because whoever I was going with just stopped posting.
•My favorite books are Harry Potter, Survivors, Warriors, Wings of Fire, The Green Ember, The Land of Stories, Chronicles of Narnia, Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales, A Tale Of Magic..., A Tale Of Witchcraft..., A Tale Of Sorcery..., Seekers, Wizard of Oz, The Beaded Moccasins, The Cricket in Times Square, The Wingfeather Saga, any kind of quiz or small info book (for example, search Merlin D. Trelawney in the library), Daughter of the Deep (by Rick Riordan, read it, it's so good), encyclopedias, natural history, thesauruses (is that how you spell that?), dictionaries, graphic novels, Grimm's Fairy Tales, Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus, Magnus Chase, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Magic Tree House, Animorphs, Swiss Family Robinson, Robinson Crusoe, Robin Hood(so many Robins!), The Polar Bear Explorers Club (oh hush)
•If you want me to add you to my friends list, do NOT say 'add me to your friends list'. Try to make friends instead because I DESPISE IT when people ask to be added to my backstory or a book or something. SO.
•Please comment if you like or don't like my backstory!!!!
