Backstory

(Older Student) Being a pureblood Slytherin in a post He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named world isn't easy. Suspicion and fear follow me on a constant basis. My father was killed in the battle of Hogwarts and my mother was arrested by Aurors for being a part of You-Know-Who's army as well. Being their only child and too young at the time to have been involved the house and family fortune fell to me, which is how I've managed to continue going to school and living my life. Because of who I am and who my parents are some of the details of my life have dropped even more scrutiny into my lap. My wand, a 12.5 inch Hazel wood and dragon heartstring with an unyielding flexibility, is seen as one of the definitive markers of an evil-witch-to-be. My skill in defense against the dark arts and potions labels me as a student to be watched. Ironically enough, I've been studying hard all my years at Hogwarts to be an Auror. I want to be able to stop evil like Grindiwald and you-know-who before they ever have the chance to destroy as many lives as they have. If only people could see past the stereotypes and give me a chance...
