Backstory

Magic has always been a part of my life, since the moment I was born to the moment I received my Hogwarts letter and beyond. Although both of my parents were magical, they were withdrawn people; as such, they lived simple lives. My father was and is a head writer for the Daily Prophet, and my mother is a muggle teacher. Although I never understood her choice to immerse herself in the muggle world, I attempted to respect it. With time, I started to appreciate her for loving and appreciating muggle culture so much more than even some of my future classmates. My older sister was a successful Slytherin student in her time; my father had been a Ravenclaw; my mother, a Hufflepuff. As such, it was only fitting that I fill the only remaining role as a Gryffindor. My sister has graduated and now works in the lower ranks of the Ministry of Magic as an intern. In the meantime, I am in my sixth year, trying to figure out just what I want to do with my life. My favorite subjects are Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms, though I actually enjoy History of Magic more than some of my peers. I'll chalk that up to a Ravenclaw streak within me.
