Backstory

I’m Imelda Reyes, and if you ask anyone at Hogwarts what I’m known for, they’ll probably say flying. They’d be right—but that’s not the whole story.

I wasn’t always the fastest on a broom. So I tried again. And again. And again.

By the time I got my Hogwarts letter, I’d already decided something: I wasn’t going to be average. Not at anything. Especially not flying.

Being sorted into Slytherin only made that stronger. People expect things from you when you wear green and silver. Ambition. Pride. A bit of edge. Fine. I gave them all of it. But what they don’t see is how hard I work to be that good. They think it’s natural talent. It’s not. It’s hours and hours of practice, pushing myself even when my hands are shaking and my legs feel like they’ll give out.

Flying is the only place where everything makes sense. No expectations, no pressure—just me, my broom, and the sky. Up there, I don’t have to prove anything. I just am.

That’s why I created the time trials. People think I did it to show off—and okay, maybe a little—but mostly, I wanted a challenge. Something real. Something that pushes you past your limits. Because that’s where you find out who you really are.

Some people don’t like me. They say I’m too competitive. Too intense. Maybe they’re right. But I don’t care. I know what it feels like to be underestimated, to not quite measure up. I promised myself I’d never feel that way again.

So yeah, I’m Imelda Reyes—the best flier at Hogwarts. And if anyone says they can beat me?

They Can try.

But I doubt that they're going to win.
