Backstory
Wilhelmina was born to Poppy Foxglox, an accomplished Potioneer&Healer, and Cassian Foxglove, Senior Undersecretary for International Magical Cooperation. He works primarily with international magical relations, but is a prominent internal advocate for muggleborn rights and modernisation within British magical policy. Her father is very anti-blood status superiority. He has always pushed for muggleborn rights and, being very high up in the ministry, nobody dares question him at work.
Having a father who immersed himself in muggle culture meant she too was raised in a home that straddled both worlds, and she developed a uniquely broad perspective. From her mother, she developed a deep respect for magical tradition, herbology, and potion-making. From her father, she gained a love of stories and curiosities about the world beyond spells and charms.
Though immersed in the wizarding world from birth, her upbringing was never cloistered. Her father insisted that she understood the muggle world, how to navigate it, appreciate it, and question the magical world’s biases against it. Her childhood weekends were often spent split between attending Quidditch matches and visiting muggle museums. As a result, she is well-versed in the workings and happenings of both worlds. Growing up, her family was forced to attend a lot of Ministry events, charity galas, Hogwarts-related matters, dinners etc due to her father’s position.
At 11, she received her Hogwarts invitation, and was sorted into Gryffindor upon joining the school. She has a fierce sense of justice, bold honest, and unyielding loyalty to those she cares about. She despises elitism in the magical community, particularly pure-blood supremacy, and often clashes with students who look down on muggle-borns, half-bloods, and non-magical customs.
