Dorthea

Backstory

Hi! My name is Dorthea Icarian, but people just call me Dora for short, or Dorothy is fine. I am 16 years old, and I was sorted into Slytherin when I came to Hogwarts in my first year. It took the sorting hat a long time to decide where to put me because I value intellect and wisdom, I consider myself to be a kind person, and I do have a lot of pride and ambition, sometimes a bit too much. I tend to overthink a lot of things and burn myself out by putting my best effort into everything, which is sometimes a bit too much. Eventually, with a little bit of my input, the hat decided that my high expectations and ambitions for myself would have me do best in Slytherin. I am pureblood, but neither myself nor my family has any prejudice against muggles or wizards with muggle blood. 

I am a very academic person, I love learning and I have a very wide range of interests, especially in the magical sciences. Astronomy, Herbology, Potions, etc. I am not a very sporty person, but I would happily cheer my team on during a quidditch match. 

I would consider my greatest strength to be my resilience, I may not bounce back quickly, but I always will. I would consider my greatest weakness to be my ego, gosh that's very Slytherin, isn't it? 

I find it easy to make friends and I am an excellent judge of character. I can manipulate if need be, and I can be an excellent liar, but I won't do it unless it's completely necessary because it makes me feel horrible about myself.

The color green, rainy/stormy/windy days, Autumn and winter, crisp weather, grandpa sweaters, leather jackets, Taylor Swift, Maggie Rogers, Scorpio, Cherry Pie, Bluebell perfume, David Bowie, Chrochet, Embroidered flowers, the stars, massive jigsaw puzzles, Christmas scented candles, Dried flowers, Jules Verne, The works of Homer, Masquerade balls, Slytherin Skittles/Marauders fandoms, Old books, old dusty heirlooms you would find at an old person yardsale, Glass pens and lavender colored ink, Leatherbound journals, decorative tape, Piano, Regulus Black Kinnie, velvet, silks and satin dresses, silver jewelry, Malachite crystals, rings, and lavender/mint ice-cream.
