I'd been looking forward to receiving my Hogwarts letter ever since I understood the concept of magic. My dad's a wizard, and my mom's a muggle. Since I started walking, weird things started to happen around the house. Back then I didn't understand why that made my parents so happy. As I grew older, my dad told me about the great times he had at Hogwarts. I grew up hearing his stories. The summer I turned 11, a letter was sent to our door and I was overjoyed to see that I had been accepted into Hogwarts. The next day, my parents took me to Diagon Alley. The place was crowded with all sorts of witches and wizards. I had been to Diagon Alley before, but it seemed so much more magical this time. Getting my wand was the most exciting part of the day, I couldn't wait to learn to cast spells. The rest of the summer went by quickly, all we talked about was Hogwarts. On the 1st of September, we went to King's Cross Station. I hugged my mom goodbye before I went with my dad onto the platform. Before I knew it, I was off to Hogwarts.
