Chapter 3
Alexia had told her mom about that she probably needs to enroll in a different school. She had told her mom everything; about the bullying, names, and stuff. Alexia's mom understood, and decided a way stupider reason to make it worse: ignore them or stay away from the bullies. How would that work?? Alexia looked at her mom with confusion. That was gonna cause more bullying. "Mom, did you check the news?" Alexia asked as she turned the knob on the TV to a different channel, the news channel. Alexia's mom nodded. "Yea. I've been staying up to date with the news since a year ago. The Nazis have already invaded Czechoslovakia and Poland, and are planning to-" She began, only to be shushed by Alexia. "Shhh! No spoilers! I need to listen." Alexia said, looking at her mother scornfully. The current news were boring, just talking about robberies until-
"NAZIS TO INVADE OKLAHOMA"
Alexia covered her mouth, shocked. "Mom!" She cried. "Look!"
Alexia pointed at the headline skidded across the screen. It was horrible news. Her mom facepalmed. "God, I knew this would happen." She muttered. Alexia sighed. "I have a feeling everyone at school is going to wish me dead." She said, looking at her shocked mom. Soon, the flap on the home door began to open, and about only 2 letters flew on the carpet. "Read those then." Alexia's mom said. Alexia slowly opened one envelope, and the letter said this.
DEAR ALEXIA,
JUST DIE ALREADY. THE CLASS HOPES YOU GET BOMBED AND DIE.
UNSINCERELY,
MARK
Alexia and her mom gasped at the horrible letter and Alexia began to cry. Her mom looked at her. "I never knew the students at your school are so mean!" She said. "They are mean." Alexia replied. She was too scared to open the other letter.
She did.
Alexia slowly opened the envelope, and another letter was found. This time it said:
DEAR ALEXIA,
HAHA. WE HEARD THE NAZIS ARE GOING TO BLOW UP OKLAHOMA. YOUR STUPID MOTHER AND YOU SHOULD'VE DIED SOONER.
INSINCERELY,
JOHN
Alexia couldn't believe it. Who would send these awful letters? She knew there was no Mark or John, and someone must've been writing these. "Odd." Was all Alexia could say. "What if it's a murderer?" Her mom asked. "Maybe we should call the police." Alexia shook her head. "No. I'm gonna stay home tomorrow. No homework and nothing. I ain't going until this stops." She said.
Then, Alexia ran up to her bedroom and her pet husky Snow leapt on her.
