not many people can see a shadow.....much like not many people can see me.....I am mostly seen in the dark corners of hogwarts....I see a lot of things when I'm in the shadows.....but this is about how I got in the shadows in the first place.......and how now....I am not a shadow....I am actually a light.... :) -Alaina

Street Life (11-13)
Chapter 3
I ran away when I was 11......cause I really had enough of all of the abuse.....my sister ran before me and left me behind. So when my parents were both out of the house.....I ran....I packed a backpack and I left.....I ran for 5 days straight.....and I didn't eat really.....I ran into a muggle town and stayed there for a few weeks until a lady asked if I was the missing girl.....and it turns out my parents were looking for me.....I ran out of that town as fast as I could....and it was like that for the rest of my 1st year on the street.....
The second year for me.....was better....I was given food by some nice people.....and a lot of them took me in and taught me.....how to speak....and they said they would adopt me....well until the found out who I was the daughter of.....they either kicked me out.....or I left....I just wanted to be taken in and not be kicked or have to leave....a lot of guys also tried to touch me....but I learned to defend myself....it was like this until a very nice scientist took me in....She said that she would treat me like her own daughter.....and for 3 months I was so happy......until my parents found me.....she let me run.....and she was put in jail.....
The las year of my street life was hard.....there was no food....people trying to hurt me and such....I kept running.....I barely ate.....I was cold and had to steal my red leather jacket.....I reached Hogsmeade.....and I stayed until someone tried to touch me.....I then ran with what little strength I had.....I finally made it to the black lake.....where I took a break....and almost passed out....until a nice girl....helped me get here.....so I stay here now.....
