A werewolf is a human being who, upon the complete rising of the full moon, becomes a fearsome and deadly near-wolf. This condition is caused by infection with lycanthropy, also known as werewolfry.Werewolves appear in the form of a wolf but, there are distinctions between them and regular wolves., a person can only become a werewolf by being born a werewolf, or bitten by a werewolf. The Curse can not be lifted or taken away by any potion or spells once a person is bitten he will become a werewolf till the end of its days , however there a potion that can help the Werewolf to stay calm during the full moon while its transformed and not harm anyone but if the The person haven't taken his potion before the full moon the potion won't work on him during the full moon. It can not understand whether your a foe or a friend during its transformation. It will hunt any living creature that come in its way during the full moon So i personally would strongly suggest not go near person that is bitten by a werewolf during the full moon as it can kill you as soon as it spots you.
What you can do to defend yourself against it if you ever come face to face with one:
The best way to avoid being near a werewolf after it transforms is to know who they are in human form. Luckily, there are a couple of ways of telling if someone is a werewolf or not: if a person sleeps all through the day during a Full Moon, they may be a werewolf. If their three middle fingers are all the same length, or if they have hairy palms, they may be a werewolf.
The number one, sure fire way to kill a werewolf as aslo used by some muggles is by a silver bullet. The silver is key here, but you could also use your wand, a simple jinx to make him temporarily blind for a few seconds which can give you the advantage to escape.
