Everyone Starts Somewhere

Chapter 2

Our History begins with our great founder Salazar Slytherin.

A parselmouth, a basilisk breeder and highly skilled in legilimency, he was quite the gifted man.

Beyond this, our founder also had a very severely prudent way of choosing who he allowed into his house. He chose witches and wizards with resourcefulness, cleverness, determination, and a certain disregard for the rules.

In doing so, Salazar set our house up to be unsurpassed from the very dawn of our school.

Not only was our founder Salazar Slytherin a great man, but he also wanted the future witches and wizards in Slytherin to achieve greatness.

We are beyond well known for producing the most talented of witches and wizards, and we do not intend to cease this on going tradition. We expect our students to be aspiring, motivated students who do what they must to succeed, no matter the cost.

Now, on to some of our well known facts. Our house ghost is the Bloody Baron, and he is often the only one you will find able to control Peeves, the annoying pest that terrorizes Hogwarts teachers and students alike. Our #1 rival is Gryffindor house, and for good reason.
