As stated before, the type of wood used in a wand is the part of it that is most likely to recognise the personality of a potential user. As the residual magic found in the wood comes from their relation with the bowtruckles, essentially all of them have similar properties. Therefore, it is still unclear how the wands are so selective when it comes to choose their partners. Following there is a list of the most common wood types used in wandcraft around the world.
