TEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE

Well done! You've nearly completed the first chapter of the 'Book of Spells'. Now you will need each of your new spells to pass a final test by first overcoming a series of puzzles, and finally by taming a dangerous magical creature. Pass the test and you will win the first of my conundrum poems, and will have taken your first step towards wizarding greatness.
Q1: A small fountain appears, however it seems pretty empty, what spell would be used in such a situation to refill the fountain?

The fountain was a trick! and you have released a Kelpie! A shape shifting water demon! Very dangerous! The only way to tame a Kelpie is to get a bridle over its head, like a horse. First you will need something to bridle it with, like a bit of rope.

Q2: You follow the Kelpie, where you stumble upon some castle ruins, however you cannot get inside due to a portcullis in your way, which is sealed with a lock! What spell do you use?

If you have come this far, you were able to unlock the lock! Great job! However the gate seems to be broken, and you cannot get through to fix it!

Q3: Though the gate is broken, you see a few cogs lying on the floor, what spell could you use to lift the cogs from the other side and put them back in their place?

You walk through the castle ruins, searching for something you might be able to use as a bridle. Finally, you see two locked chests on the floor, chose a chest to unlock.

Q4: Which spell would you use to unlock the chests?

Q5(a): THE FIRST CHEST- You unlock the first chest and a crowd of bats fly out and start swarming you. Bats are nocturnal, what spell do you use to scare them away?
Q5(b): THE SECOND CHEST - You unlock the second chest and you find a bridle to tame the kelpie!

You attempt to take the bridle out of the chest, however, some sort of vine snaps the chest shut.
It's Devil Snare!

Q6: The Devil Snare starts to attack you, what would be a good spell to keep away the Devil's Snare?

You pick up the bridle and head down towards the lake, where the Kelpie seems to have gone.
The Kelpie sees you with the bridle and gets spooked. The Kelpie starts going crazy, it would not be wise to go swimming.
