What is a Hufflepuff?
Chapter 1
"You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true,
and unafraid of toil."

Hufflepuff has got to be the most underrated Hogwarts House in the entirety of Hogwarts. It's because the traits of Hufflepuff aren't as straightforward and as easy to understand as let's say the cunning of Slytherin, the bravery of Gryffindor and the brains and prowess of Ravenclaw.
However Hufflepuff has produced it's fair share of good wizards such as the magizoologist Newton Scamander. And while Hufflepuff doesn't have a big trait like that of the other three houses it does have values: hard work being one of them. Hufflepuffs are easily undervalued. However Hufflepuff is the best house you can be in, why they can be friends of all the houses and don't let pig headed ness or stubborness get in the way!!! Also Helga Hufflepuff our most esteemed founder, "took all the rest." While that might mean bad to the other houses in a way it makes our house much more diverse and esteemed. While most people would be disappointed to be in such a house, it more than grows on you! People are much more talkative, have a higher percentage of patience than the other houses, have dedication and really want some fair play. Now I'm not saying all the other houses are like this, however in the vast realm of things, these are just the Hufflepuff traits.
A Hufflepuff is literally everybody and everybody should want to be a Hufflepuff. They are people who are dedicated, strong, hard working, who talk and laugh and above all else have patience and are down to earth. These are the people who problem solve, who wrap you up into a sushi roll when you're sad, who throw parties and protect their friends and family with a stunning ferocity. They are all about fair play and don't really like hurting people but when the need arises they will become badass and whoop your arse with their stunning array of spells. They have an aptitude for the hearth and home, as well as plants and creatures. They are the very people who should be proud of themselves and their house. They are not the worst hogwarts house, but rather the balance of the Hogwarts Houses, making sure that Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin all get along to a point that they don't kill each other, quite literally. And that is a job that is harder than it seems.
