How do I send an owl? Or contact a professor?
The private messaging feature is not available yet.
With owls unavailable your other options are to post directly to their profile page or to email them. Many profs list their emails in the first lesson of their class, their profiles are also linked in their course page under the class title.

How do I edit my profile or personal information?
On the right of the header bar, beside your name, click the arrow to open the drop-down menu.
To the left you will see the options to make changes.
Under ‘Character Information’ you will find the options to change your name, label and backstory. You are under no obligation to be a character other than yourself but some people choose to.
According to the developer, users are not able to use canon names as per an agreement with Warner Brothers. (To quote them: “You can take half names, like Ginny Malfoy, but misspellings will be caught & disabled, like Herry Potter.")
Under ‘Account Information’ you can change your timezone, email, and password.
You cannot change your Hogwarts house after it has been set.

How do I block someone? Unblock someone?
To the right of a post, click on the gear icon to bring up the drop down menu. This will prevent them from seeing your posts or you theirs, visiting your page, etc.
To unblock someone, go to your settings (found in drop down menu beside your name in the header bar) and go to ‘Blocked Users.’ Select ‘unblock’ under the profile you want.

What are the numbers in brackets next to my name?
This is the number of house points you have earned for your house.

How do I follow someone? Unfollow someone? See who I’m following?
To follow someone, click on their name to go to their profile. Under their name should be a button saying ‘Follow [username]’.
To unfollow someone, you just click that button again.
You can see who you’re following by clicking the link on your profile page, or by choosing ‘My friends’ in the drop-down menu beside your name in the header bar.
