Where do I get a wand/pet/telescope?
This site has no economy system (no buying or having things). You can get wand details on Pottermore if you want, or just make them up. The only thing you will need are textbooks - these are in the library.

What’s the student lounge? How do I join?
The student lounge is a place of leisure for hogwarts students where you can roleplay, play games, chat with people, etc. It is at a different site and can be found here. To join, you will need to sign up (on the left-hand side of the screen). You will get an email to confirm, that some people have struggled to find. Make sure to check your spam box, as some owls aren’t brilliant at getting the right destination.
Before you can access the common rooms you must have had your house approved. In the meantime, check out the announcements pages.
This lounge may be phased out as the forums and the on site Great Hall chat have returned.

If you're looking for common rooms and chocolate frog cards, these features have not returned (yet?). There are a set of common rooms at the student lounge but they are not well used.

What is the Yule Ball? How do I RSVP? Do I need a date?
The Yule Ball will be a site-run event held on December 17, advertised to contain music, entertainment, live chats, interactive features - in short, a unique online social event to meet new fan friends! You can RSVP on the Facebook event page to give the team an idea of numbers, or simply show up at the required time for a fun experience. Students from any year are able to attend, and no date is needed, though you may go with a date or a friend or a group if you wish.

The Hogwarts is Haunted Challenge is a trivia activity created by Allison Frederick & Kimmi Cranes to launch the new website design. Now that the site has been released, the challenges have been opened up for anyone who would like to try them.
Please refrain from posting questions or answers on the feed as this spoils the challenge for others. You are free to ask for help from friends individually on their pages.

How do you get the scar symbol?
Simply type [scar] and a lightning bolt in your house colour will appear in your post or comment.
For other cool features, try typing Lumos, or Nox, and give them a click to see what happens.
