Breaking News

Chapter 3

You only have one pair of eyes, unless you're a mythical creature of course, well to muggles you’re mythical anyways. This is why I’m going to hand you a load of breaking news just in case you missed the most exciting one! Luckily this month I have two handfuls of good news, however, good things never last forever. I also have quite a bit of bad news to tell you, but remember to keep a little happiness inside of you too. Because as Professor Dumbledore said, “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”

Firstly, we’re going to start with some very sorrowful news: If you don’t know who the wonderful, talented: Maggie Smith is-most commonly known as Professor Mcgonnagol-then get out of here! >:(

Just kidding, please stay! Yes, she was a phenomenally amazing witch and muggle who we all adore very much. With all the despair and gloom in my heart, it hurts to say that Maggie Smith passed away on the 27th of September at the age of 89 years. She lived a very happy and long life, and we must pass on all our love to her. Make sure we all raise our wands and appreciate what she has done to make the magical world shine with happiness. Rest In Peace, Maggie, we all adored you very much, and we’ll all be standing by your side wherever we go!

Secondly, I have another piece of sad news. Mythology is now closing…

I know, I know, it’s all a bit of a shocker for those who cherish this mythical and fascinating subject.  However, as said in the newsroom, it’s more of a “See you later!”

Though if you cannot wait another minute, with the class closing it doesn’t mean you can’t learn by yourself!! The library is available and if any of you have access to muggle research, that’ll certainly help too!

Now let’s take a break from all the terrifying news, and slide onto the cheerful and jolly ones!

We all know the hard-working and warm-hearted Professor Laurel. Also known as a very kind and helpful charms teacher. Even though being a professor is an amazing job, she has been chosen to be…

Head of Hufflepuff!!!!

It’s exciting news for everyone, and we all know that Professor Laurel totally deserves it and that she will do absolutely fantastic as head!

This does mean that Professor Soleil is no longer the muggle studies professor or the head of house. We all miss her dearly, but remember: We never really said goodbye. She never really left us, as long as we remember, she will always be there.

The ‘Magical Studies Group’ has re-opened! They are near the end of the 1st cycle, so they are opening applications again for the next six weeks. Make sure you apply before you miss your chance. Even if you think that this group isn’t really your thing; you never know until you try! It does seem it has changed a little, so if you would like to apply or check out the changes, look in the newsroom for more information; the form link should be there!

Last, but definitely not least: THE NOTIFICATION BUG HAS BEEN FIXED!!!

I’m sure many of you have noticed how the notifications have been acting very strange, and we were not able to ‘view all’ our notifications. Which meant that people who always got over ten notifications a day, weren’t able to see them. What. A. Disaster! But you mustn't fear, because Hogwarts is magical and can always be fixed, the bug has been sorted and we can all go back to our magical lives again!

Thank you for listening and gasping at the news this season, hope you enjoyed it!! Come back next season for more!
