TO FINISH: Wheel of Randomness

Chapter 25

Hello hello. It's me, Neil! In this chapter I bring you the Wheel of Randomness. As you can imagine, this is random data from the magical world, so let's get started.

1-) The influence of mythology.

—Many elements in the books are inspired by mythology and folklore. For example, the name "Sirius" comes from the brightest star in the night sky, which is also known as "the dog star", which refers to his dog form as an Animagus.

2-) 62442.

—The number 62442 is the one you dial to travel from the Muggle world to the Ministry of Magic. If you press the keys on an old telephone, the word "MAGIC" is typed.

3-) Crookshanks and Scabbers.

—Among the many pets and animals that appear in the saga, Crookshanks, Hermione's cat, and Scabbers, Ron's rat, stand out above all. During Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the former took his role seriously and ate the latter, having to find a replacement for him.

4-) Sorting hat or statues of the founders.?

—Who hasn't dreamed of getting under the wings of the Sorting Hat and hearing which Hogwarts house they belong to? For a time, J. K. Rowling considered the possibility that its function would be played by the four statues of the school's founders, a court of ghosts or the prefects themselves. Without a doubt, it would not have been the same.

5-) Lunita Lovegood

—J.K. Rowling has mentioned that Luna Lovegood is inspired by a childhood friend who was a little eccentric, imaginative and different from others.  Although she has not revealed her friend's name, Luna's unique and quirky personality reflects the characteristics of this person.

6-) Platform 9 ¾

— J.K. Rowling was inspired by a platform she saw at a train station, but the idea of a platform between two real platforms was her creative addition.  She imagined that Platform 9¾ would be hidden in plain sight, which adds a magical touch to the story.

7-) Hedwing

—Harry's Owl was named in honor of the 18th century composer Hedwig Conradin.  J.K. Rowling is a big fan of classical music and often incorporates references to composers and musical works in her books.

Well that's all for this chapter. It never hurts to know some random facts about our favorite magical world.
