Hogwarts this Autumn
Chapter 2
With summer slowly fading away and autumn swooping in, this season at Hogwarts couldn’t be any more enjoyable! The new school year has started, and our first year students are walking in with many mixed feelings! The bright, emerald leaves on the trees that grow on the castle grounds are now blooming with vibrant, colourful and lively leaves falling to the floor as brooms sweep past them. Now it’s the exciting part, for first years and the experienced students of Hogwarts: the Sorting Ceremony! Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw! Which one do you belong too? Fingers start shaking, eyes shut tight, toes curl….it’s the day to find out where you belong.
Now, it would be a shocker if our students weren’t showing off with phenomenal grades, but I know we’ll never have to experience that. Even though they've just come from a relaxing, and enjoyable summer, they’ll still tell themselves: It’s time to work hard! And so they did. The grass is no longer bright green, and the trees are no longer shining pink, but studying and hanging out with friends on the grounds, presenting our newly learnt spells, won’t stop!
During our windy weather, and brooms flying over the spectators, the unique talent of some students who are able to race with the wind in the air, try their best to win the quidditch matches! I’ve said before to keep close to your friends while watching them, but now I mean it for real! It's been getting very chilly these few weeks, and I advise you to keep your hat on your head! Next is Ravenclaw against Gryffindor! Who will win? Intelligence or bravery? That’s a question that won’t be answered until the match!
Keep your hands warm, by laying them on top of the fireplace, but make sure not to get too close! Or you might get mixed up between summer and autumn.
Students try to stay inside more often, so they don’t start off the new season with a cough, and the best place at Hogwarts (to most people, anyway) is the…
LIBRARY!
Full of books and brains; why don’t you give the library a quick visit? You never know. It might be the place of the most amazing discovery you’ll ever have! Make sure you try to win as many house points as possible! Hmmm.
I’ve just looked at the points, and it seems it’s going to be a bit of a competition this year, but you still have time! So go out there, and show us what you’ve got!
If you think a little more competition will be good for you, join “Professor Plumb’s Monthly House Point Competition”, where you can win: Bronze, Silver or Gold.
Whooooo, whoooo!! Ghosts have arrived. Well, technically, at Hogwarts, ghosts are our family. So maybe I should say: ZOMBIES!! Halloween is here; students and professors have dressed as the scariest of the scariest of the scariest living things! LOOK LEFT! LOOK RIGHT! But don’t look down…
Anything could be anywhere on this pertifying day. Oh no! Hope I didn’t scare you too much, make sure you have fun too.
That’s all I have for today, keep reading to find out more!
