Adeleina Rosewood:
The blue sky
Hangs by the strings
A laugh here, there, beckoning
Oh my dear child
How sweet is your smile
I almost hate to leave you the while
Strands of yolk dipping down into red
A dip in the breeze and a comforting wind
Oh, oh my dear, why are you whispering?
Say what you need and fear no thing
Hand me your fears
I shall hope your wishes
Hold my by my tears
As I blow you all my kisses
Oh my sweet, sweet child
You look so down
My dear girl
You'll do just fine on your own
Look at what's around you
Listen to the chirps
Let the water guide you
Fretful, pretty, hurts
And above all
Never look back
I'll be in your heart, forever
That's our loving pact.
Jean W.P. Granger:
Unless You Try
I'm counting down the minutes 'till my concert,
Waiting for my name to be called out,
For me to go up on stage.
Waiting to show the world the creation I have made.
The butterflies inside of me
Makes it hard to breathe,
While I wait for the applause to end after they call out my name.
As I walk up on stage,
My palms are already sweating,
And my legs are almost trembling.
If this turns out to be a disaster,
I'm sure it will make the front page.
I stood in front of the silenced crowd.
Holding the microphone to my lips.
I opened my mouth to sing,
But nothing came out, not even a single sound.
I looked at the waiting faces in front of me,
And tried again.
Wishing that the concert would end.
When I finally started to sing,
I could feel myself relaxing.
I felt like I could stand in front of the King
And sing.
I was smiling,
And some even started crying.
These people loved my song,
The song I was afraid to sing.
This is your reminder,
Those dreams can come true.
Here's a piece of advice,
From me to you:
Don't let your dreams fly by,
Because you'll never know
Unless you try.
Callista Lovegood:
Autumn’s colours, a picture perfect
With leaves of gold, and red light
The trees, they spin, a whirlwind sight
As nature paints the night
The wind, it whispers, a soft sound
As amber leaves, rustle to the ground
The earthy smell, a sweet treat
As nature paints the night deep
The sky, it cries, a sad story
As autumn’s colours fade and die
The sun, it sets, a golden glow
As nature’s beauty ebbs and flows
The wind, it wails, a lament
As autumn’s colours say goodbye
The trees, they stand, a bare sight
As winter comes, and Autumn flies
