Malicious Magic
Chapter 3
Malicious Magic
In a corner of the common room, a witch named Claire,
Decided she would practise with a flick of flair.
“Just one little hex,” she thought with a grin,
“What could possibly go wrong? Let the fun begin!”
With wand in hand and mischief in mind,
She aimed at a broomstick, but fate was unkind.
“Wingardium Leviosa!” she cast with great glee,
But instead of the broom, it lifted her tea!
The cup soared high, doing loops in the air,
As Claire jumped up, her eyes wide in despair.
“Not the Earl Grey!” she yelled, as it spun,
But the tea had a will, and it was just having fun.
It splashed on the portraits, drenching them whole,
Now they were soaked, and they lost all control.
With grumbles and curses, they raged and they roared,
While Claire stood there giggling, totally floored.
Then the broomstick, abandoned, took off in a hurry,
Zooming around like a Quidditch ball—flurry!
It knocked over books, caused a shelf to collapse,
Sending students scattering with startled yelps and gasps.
Finally, the tea with a pop and a splash,
Landed back in Claire’s lap with a terrible crash.
Now soaked in her drink and surrounded by mess,
She sighed and just laughed, “I must’ve been blessed!”
So heed this sweet lesson, if magic you wield,
Always know what you cast; let caution be sealed.
For in the halls of Hogwarts, where spells often clash,
A small hex can lead to a wonderfully mad splash!
