Stars galloped around my head, the blurriness covered me entirely, like a cloud and the bitterness made scars of worries travel in me.
“Phew, she’s alive. I was just about to call,” Carly paused, and thought for a moment. “The graveyard diggers. That’s what you call it, right?”
Once the horrible fog disappeared, I found, Carly, Dylan and my aunt standing in front of me. We were in my house. WHAT WERE CARLY AND DYLAN DOING IN MY HOUSE!? I quickly stood up to find my mum and Dylan rolling their eyes at Carly. Somebody grabbed my hand and pulled me up: it was all of them.

“Guys? Auntie Alice? What are they doing in our house?” I asked.
“Well, darling, I supposed you’ve met them. But they’re like you, Sarah. They’re different.”  My aunt replied as she placed her hand on my shoulder, and with the other, took out an envelope.
“What’s this?” questioned. But they didn’t answer and signalled me to open it.

I looked down at the letter; it read:

Miss Sarah Gonzalez
First room upstairs
Hunter’s Road, 8
Kent

“I-I-I don’t understand. Is this from a friend? Because, well, I have no friends.” However, they still didn’t answer me, so I tore the letter open.

It read:

Dear Miss Gonzales,

We are delighted to be the ones to inform you, that you have been accepted to: The Lumdart school of Magic and Animals.

Below, you will find a list of all the equipment you will be needing. You may travel through the portal to arrive at Mystagon Passage. But, BEWARE: you mustn’t be late. The portal will open and 9:03am, and close at 9:11am. If you fail to arrive on time, the consequences you will face are deadly.

Equipment:

Ring
Protective cloak
Dragon-skin gloves
Clamtiso pot

Uniform:

PLEASE COME IN USUAL HUMAN CLOTHES AND YOUR UNIFORM WILL BE CHOSEN AT THE SCHOOL. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT LET YOUR TAIL OR EARS APPEAR IN THE ENTRANCE OR THE PORTAL, BECAUSE THE HUMANS WILL GET SHOT, AND WE WILL BE FOUND OUT.

I dropped the letter down to my feet, and gazed into my aunt’s eyes, completely speechless.

“Well...?” they said.
“Huh? I have so many questions.” They nodded, waiting for my, probably 300 questions; one for each sentence. “What is Lumbart school? What is Mystagon Passage? What is a Clamtiso pot? What do you mean by tail and ears? Who are all the people that wrote the books? Forest fairy?” I took a breath, then finally said, “I am so confused right now.”

Then Dylan started explain. “Lumbart school is a magical school for people like us. We’re different, Sarah. You and me, we’re fast, like none other. We both have tail and ears of other animals, so does Carly. I know it’s all a bit shocking but believe me. And you can even talk to cats. Mystagon passage is where we buy all the equipment. It’s like a town. A clamtiso pot, is basically a cauldron, except it’s only for specific things or ingredients. The people that wrote the books are from another planet. Those names are not actually their names. Those authors are called, Hiddens. So, they each have a unique nickname for us to identify them. Right, now we need to reply. The forest fairy is like a delivery person, he should be here in about ten minutes.” I just stand there, completely stationary. Even though I sort of understand what’s he’s explaining, it’s all still so….I don’t know how to say it. So, I just nod, meaning that I will write a reply right away. He gives me a piece of parchment. But all of sudden, he takes the parchment back and write the reply for me.

Dear Headmaster Zimmerman,

I would be delighted to attended, The Lumbart School of Magic and Animals, and thank you for inviting me. I hope to see you soon.
