What Does Your Patronus Say About You?
Chapter 22
Now that we are in the third edition of your favourite column, "What Does Your Patronus Say About You?", we will be taking a closer look at the Hare patronus!
The saying "They're as Mad as a March Hare" was popularised by Lewis Carrol in his famous 1865 book, "Alice in Wonderland". This saying reflects arguably one of the most famous Hogwarts alumni, Luna Lovegood, who also has this intriguing animal as her patronus.
Those that have the honour of casting a hare patronus are speculated to be happy and energetic people. They jump from place to place, not a care in the world, similar to the animal in question itself. The hare is like a rabbit, jumping around and hopping up and down most of the time. This behaviour intensifies during their breeding season, which is where the "Mad as a March Hare" saying originated from.
Witches and wizards who cast this Patronus are known to be a bit crazy. You might see them reading their copy of the Quibbler upside down, or walking in the forest without shoes. Regardless, these people are the most genuine and kind-hearted people you will ever meet.
