Back To School

Chapter 20

Hello, dear readers! (Yes, a Bridgerton quote.) I hope you've all had a fantastic start of the school year. I've come back in sixth form, and have found September very enjoyable so far! In this chapter, I'm going to talk about revision tips, mental health and support for when you come back to school!

Revision tips:
There are multiple ways to revise and study for exams, assignments, quizzes, and much more! These ways include, but are not limited to, flashcards, mind maps, quizlet, exam questions and much more!

So let's talk a bit more about some ways you can revise and study.

Flashcards:
These usually are short answers to questions or topics. You would go through each card and try to see if you remember them. If not you place it down in a pile and move on to the next. Once you have finished the pile, move back to the ones you don't know and try again. Then you repeat!

Mind maps:
While being useful for some, they may not do their job for others. All you need is paper and something to write with. Anything else, like highlighters, is purely optional. You then write the title in the middle and write, around it, what you need to revise, as well as any ideas for that topic.

Quizlet:
Quizlet is a free, online website that poses as an extremely useful revision tool to many students worldwide. It is equipped with quizzes, flashcards, exam questions and much more. I know I've already said this, but I'm going to say it again - it is extremely useful when you are studying for examinations!

And last but not least, something not directly connected to studying, but also important while doing it.

Mental Health:
This is a touchy subject, I know, but it's also a really important topic. It is important to take breaks from studying a few times a week to avoid burnout. Please, please, PLEASE reach out if you're struggling, I promise there are many people who want to help you. So many people care and will regret not seeing the signs!

Support:
There are multiple support websites, but here's a couple down below!
Kooth
BetterHelp
Camhs
AFAB

Thank you so much for reading! If you have enjoyed it, feel free to let me know on my wall or in an owl directly sent to me : ) Who knows, I might consider making this a monthly thing... Only time will tell!
