Colours of Music
This is a poem that I wrote, which is inspired by synesthesia. I don't have synesthesia, so i guess you could say this is my interpretation of it. I hope you enjoy it!

Colours of Music by Jean . W.P. Granger
Chapter 1
As my pen touches the page,
I see colours and shapes as I sing the notes inside of my head
Green, blue, purple and sage,
And on the page my ink spreads.
I hit a note on the piano,
And yellow, and orange fly at me
Whether it’s alto, bass, or soprano,
Colours and shapes surround me when I play a single key.
When I hum the tune to my music,
Pink and red appear.
Though it may seem therapeutic,
Sometimes it sparks in me a little fear.
The fear that I’m not like everyone else,
Turns into a masterpiece,
And all there is, is peace,
As I lift my pen off the page.
