Well, you've continued to look through, so I can only assume that you are interested in this position! Let me tell you what it entails.
The Cover Designer position...wait for it....is a job where you would design covers. Revolutionary, isn't it? No, I'm joking, it's a good transparent name. Well, what you would do if you were hypothetically the cover designer, is this:
Firstly, you would take a good look at the chapter plan of the month when it first comes out. Look at all the holidays. Next, you can abandon that for a good week or so. Come back to it and by then, probably all of the add-your-own chapters and new columns will have been filled. This is where your job really begins. You would go on then to whichever software you use to create your cover and well, you would create it. I'm on a roll here, aren't I? Well, you create the cover and embody in it some of the holidays, the season, the add-your-own chapters, really make it feel like it represents the coming issue. You post your cover by the 25th to the Executive Team (Sara Rowan, Hazel Emory Antler, Ivy Dewdrop, and Autumn Aschinger - well, and you, if you claim the position) and they will try to give you some feedback on how perhaps the cover could better embody the issue. Once all the final changes have been made, you repost to the Executive and Hazel, the President of the Magazine, shall use it in the issue. Easy peasy!
