There is a difference between men and boys. Men will love you for who you are, and boys will play with your emotions until they have twisted your heart into a pretzel. I’ve had too many experiences with guys who think they are too cool for any girl, so they have to go through all of them. This doesn’t make them cool, in fact, it makes them the opposite. A girl should never have to go through this type of thing. We are queens and it is time that we are treated like it. Here is some advice we have put together for girls and women to follow about guys.

If they are over obsessive, please girl, he is going to start controlling you. He won’t stop until he has every little corner of your life observed and supervised. This happened to one of my friends (she has allowed me to share her story). Her boyfriend was all loving at first, he treated her nice, loved her, and was very helpful. As time went on he became paranoid, and he started to “not give his permission” to my friend and made her ask to do anything and everything! He wouldn’t allow her to talk to friends, go anywhere with her family, work with other guys. That is not a healthy relationship! There should be a balance, where you both communicate and talk to each other about your needs and wants. 

Quite obviously there is this one as well. Trigger warning, this mentions topics such as domestic abuse and physicality. If your boyfriend/husband/talking stage ever becomes violent towards you or someone else, it is a major violation of your personal and private space. In no world should you stay with this man. Although he says he will change, most of the time they don’t put in the effort to change. 

Finally, trust and loyalty. In today's day and age there are many ways that a man can be unfaithful to you. In your relationship it is important to lay out the boundaries and discuss what is unfaithful and what is fine. Trusting someone you love can be one of the most important virtues in a relationship. If you can both trust each other, you both have a start to an important relationship. Girl, if you can’t trust him to be loyal, when your boundaries are clear, he is not the one for you.
