Hello, my dear readers! Listen closely, and you may hear the sounds of faint scratching coming from the library. That is the delightful sound of stories and guides being written, quills marking the parchment with mystical ink. You’re about to discover some of the most interesting recent works published.

First up, on a silver platter, is the “Hogwarts Is Here Elective Guide”, by Michael Isserles! I read this one-page pamphlet and it was incredibly informative. It helped me to narrow down the electives I’m interested in taking. However the guide is quite comprehensive, including the Year Group, Availability, Professor(s), with detailed descriptions of each class.

The second course of the day – I mean, the second book of the day – is “Random Thoughts of a Couple Teenage Girls”, by Autumn Edelstein. This is a work in progress prompting discussions of moral ambiguity, social constructs, feminism, and the study of the young female mindset. Personally, Autumn’s writing and wholeheartedly not only relate to everything she says but supports and encourages discussion of these topics that are often overlooked and not talked about enough. I offer a word of admiration for her talking about such topics.

And finally, to top off the sundae – my, my, I'm feeling quite hungry talking about food – is the book, “Little A's Book of Noms (Vol. 1)” by A. Pflugrath. What a mouthful! The Cookbook has 10 delicious-looking recipes that have been thoroughly tested. You know, my kitchen has been looking quite empty recently and that recipe for buttermilk pancakes is looking very, very tempting…

Now sadly, my time has come to an end – not the big one, though – and I shall now depart. Now turn the page frenziedly to find the next lovingly-written chapter by another of our fabulous and magical creators. Read onward and forever, my friend, and perhaps write a little too. Who knows, you could be featured in the next issue...you can certainly find me cooking up a storm from A. Pflugrath's recipe book!
