It was a nice and quiet Sunday afternoon at Hogsmeade and you and Severus were shopping for more classroom supplies. You were his assistant after all so you got dragged into all the shopping and everything else. You had been his assistant for a few years now and he happened to grow a liking to you, causing you both to find different feelings for each other. While you hadn't said anything about it to each other you knew that it was there, but you were co-workers, so you kept it all inside.

You both walked into a potions shop and started looking around for some of the things that were on the list. You ended up separating from each other while looking, but you weren't worried. After a little while of looking for things, you had a decent handful of items which were hard to hold as you were looking around for Severus. One of the workers at the shop noticed this and walked up to you.

"Hello there miss, did you need any help with anything?" You turned around to the male voice and greeted him nicely. He must've been new as you always came here and you had never seen him here before.

"Oh, hello. Um no I'm alright. I'm just looking for my friend."

"Oh okay, well if you do need anything let me know." You smile at him.

"Of course thank you. It doesn't seem quite busy here today does it?" You started up a conversation with the gentleman as he seemed like he wasn't going to end the conversation himself.

"Oh yeah, it's been a bit slow today, but I'm always happy to give more attention to the attractive customers that come in." He smiled brightly at you. His words kind of caught you off guard. You didn't think this guy was going to be the flirtatious type, especially at work of all places. You just smiled and said thank you for his compliment with a bit of a stutter in your voice.

But what you didn't know was that Severus was just about to round the corner and tell you that he had found everything that he needed. So as soon as he heard you talking to another man, and when said man attempted to flirt with you he immediately got angry and was overthrown with jealousy. He was trying to hold himself back the best he could to not say anything to the man and before you knew it you felt a hand grab your arm from behind you. You looked back and saw Severus standing there looking very intimidating and said through his teeth,

"Come on Y/N. We're done here." He started walking to the front desk with your arm still in his grasp. You kept up with his fast pace and checked your items out. As you walked back to the school it was very quiet between the two of you. You did tend to talk a lot while on shopping trips, but I guess the outburst of frustration Severus gave off seemed to still be in the air. You held your hands together in your pocket and watched the ground as you walked not paying any attention to your friend who kept giving you glances now and then.

Then it hit you. Severus was jealous. He was jealous of the guy who was flirting with you. The fact that he had the nerve to say something like that to you at work meant that he was either desperate or that he wanted a chase with someone. And since Severus was having some romantic feelings for you he got jealous of this guy trying to get with you. A teasing smile grew on your face before you started talking.

"So Severus. A little jealous were you?" You looked over at him as he reacted to what you had said to him out of nowhere. His eyes were wide and staring at you with shock as he had no idea you'd even bring it up. He looked away and grumbled in response.

"No, I was not jealous of a shop worker. We were finished shopping." You giggled lightly as he was still dwelling on it. You leaned your head towards him in a teasing way saying,

"Oh come on Sev. There's no way that's why you acted like that. You heard him flirt with me and you got jealous, just admit it." He glared at you before casting a spell to create a snowball and threw it at your face. You knew that he was now definitely embarrassed that you knew that he was jealous, so he was being playful. You laughed at him and threw one at him causing a whole snowball fight on the way back to Hogwarts.
