The current Hogwarts Library

Chapter 7

A library is a place where books, magazines, and newspapers are collected, stored, read, or borrowed. Libraries can be private or public. Many bookworms own private libraries in their homes, and being one of them, I can testify that it is an utter joy to have a space like that, which means that my delight was beyond measure when I contemplated the huge size of the Hogwarts Library upon my arrival. Libraries are usually organized into sections, housing books of different genres and authors, reference books, encyclopedias, picture books, and magazines. Our Hogwarts Library is no exception. Despite its vastness, it's neatly grouped into sections to make navigation and book-hunting easier for students and other inhabitants of the castle. I have spent many an hour alone in the Hogwarts Library, thoroughly immersed in the beautiful world within its walls, mesmerized by the dedication and talent of the Professors, and relishing the admirable works of the budding student authors. It is a treasure trove of knowledge and wisdom, housing Hogwarts textbooks, class notes, study materials, reference books, fiction and non-fiction novels, magazines, newspapers, journals, diaries, and various other stuff written by Professors and students alike. Not only is it a safe and cozy retreat, but it is also the ultimate haven for the bookworms and nerds of Hogwarts Castle. I have often seen students sitting in groups in the library, discussing homework or studying together. Whatever you need, be it guidance, homework help, or entertainment, the Hogwarts Library is the answer.

On my latest visit there, I added a few recently published books to my bookshelf, which are still serving to amuse and guide me. They are:

  1. All the textbooks written by the Professors.

  2. Study material - "First Years Guide to Ace" series by Lily Lavender.

  3. Fiction books for entertainment - "Murder Mystery" and "Murder Mystery 2" by Kyra, "A Riddle in Disguise" by Regan Riddle, "The mysterious magic" by Lilly, "The Last Gaunt" by Annie Morgan, "The Battle Against Time" by Charlotte Granger, "Poison and Love" by Hazel Whitlock, and "Triplet Trouble" by Alaina Potter.

They were enjoyable reads, and I absolutely loved the creativity in them. I am yet to explore many such wonders from the Hogwarts Library.

I must not miss an interesting scoop about the Hogwarts Library that I found put up as a notice in the Newsroom by our respected Headmistress Oshiro. From what I made out of it, our much-loved library is undergoing a complete makeover. I am excited to discover the Hogwarts Library's new avatar in all its regal glory, and I am sure many of us are eagerly waiting for that magic to happen. Besides the changes in how it will look, our beloved area of refuge is also going to be entrusted to either one or two responsible caregivers, who will not only help visitors easily find what they are looking for but also keep the contents neatly arranged and in order. If you would like to zealously give back to your alma mater, grab this chance to do so by putting your best foot forward and taking up the position of Hogwarts Librarian. Walk up to the Newsroom and read the notice for more information. It's never too late to fill out the application and try your luck. I wish great luck to all the prodigious witches and wizards who would love to follow in the footsteps of Madam Irma Pince (uhh, except for breathing down our necks, I think). Never mind, I think I would prefer anybody, as long as they will show me around the new version of the Hogwarts Library.
