With 15 days in the Lunar New Year, we present you with the second day. Read Special Holidays with Elizabeth Wonders to find out more about today: what is the purpose of today? What do we do? Get festive! (By the way, apart from the above, we have a Special Sunday today that is non-related to any sorts of Lunar New Year stuff, so if you are sick of it, check it out!)

News of the day

It is the second day of Lunar New Year! We are interviewing a specialist, Loocer Bald, and Mr. Bald told us some interesting facts about today. "In some places, today is the day wives go back to their parents to reunite." He said, "And you cannot go back without something! People usually bring fruit or red envelopes, though remember! The number of fruit or the value of the cash inside the red envelope should be an even number."

Breaking news! Issue one of the "Hogwarts Weekly News" is out in the library. A portkey for the book should be attached to the bottom of the magazine, so go get a good look below now. It should be right at the bottom, beneath the Advertising Space. The Hogwarts Daily sincerely wishes Hogwarts Weekly News good luck!

Special Question of the day

Hello everyone! Today's question is a bit more exciting than usual. Are you getting bored of all the Lunar New Year stuff in this magazine? Owl Elizabeth Wonders to answer!

Note: the replies of this question will affect The Hogwarts Daily's contents.

Answer(s) to yesterday's Special Question

-

Special Sunday

What would you do if you were given a choice to be sorted into a Hogwarts house again? Would you tell the sorting hat, no, I want to remain in my house or, yes, I want a change to my house? Either way, I'm sure you are not alone.

Today's Special Sunday would be a bit of a debate: do you think Hogwarts should let students resort at some point?

We provide you with these views:

Yes -

  1. What if you don't like your house, like Albus Potter? He was sorted into Slytherin by the sorting hat but he so disliked it at first.

  2. People change. If at first you possess the qualities of a certain house, you always might change. It is good to try again.

  3. The sorting hat might be wrong, being so old. Give it a chance and try again.

No -

  1. Godric Gryffindor knew what he was doing when he assigned his hat this job, you must trust its judgement.

  2. Your house is like your family. It would be harsh to rip families apart.

  3. You grow to like your house. The sorting hat obviously sees some part of you in that house, and when you don't like it at first, it must know that you will grow fond of it in the end.
