Magical People Who Are Thought to Be Muggles - A Secret Cheat-sheet from Isadore

Chapter 10

Wizard among Muggles

Eminem:

Music is like magic. Listening to music can make you feel calm, happy, or even angry. But not all the music artists you know are what they pretend to be. Some very popular artists in the music industry are actually Wizards. What if I told you that one of the greatest hip-hop artists ever is a Wizard?

Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, is among the top 5 hip-hop artists ever, and according to some people, he is the greatest rapper alive. But if we look closely at his personal life and songs, we can see clues to his magical background.

For Eminem, everything started in 1997, when he was placed 2nd in the Rap Olympics and signed a contract with Aftermath and Interscope. During that period of time, he created another character, Slim Shady, who some believe is Eminem's alter ego. But before all these successes and releasing Slim Shady Lp in 1999, Eminem demonstrated another side of his personality.

We know that Slim Shady has a slick tongue and is aggressive, but Eminem was not always like that. Back in 1996, Eminem was more optimistic, and his different mindset can be seen in his debut album, "Infinite". Furthermore, you can also see his magical roots in his lyrics. There is a song in this album called "Open Mic". A part of its lyrics goes like this:

"Bite a rhyme and feel your jaw get stiffer and ache.

Wither and break, you Slytherin' snake."

As you can see, Eminem mentions Slytherin, which is the name of one of the Hogwarts houses. You may think he just used a word from J.K. Rowling's stories, but this song was released on November 12, 1996, whereas the first book of Harry Potter stories, "Harry Potter and the Philisopher's Stone", was released on June 26, 1997. So, there was no chance that a not-yet-known rapper from Detroit, Michigan, could know anything about a British author's unreleased work unless they were both from the same world.

Eminem also released a song in 1999 with Outsidaz called "Macusa", which is short for "Magical Congress of the United States of America". That proves that Eminem was familiar with the magical world before J.K. Rowling's stories.

Eminem broke the record for the most Grammy Awards won. He also proved that no one is as fast as him at rapping by releasing a song called "Rap God" in 2013. His talent is too good to be true, or he is simply not a Muggle. Furthermore, in "AHS" season 3 (Coven), the supreme witch claims that Eminem is one of her closest friends, and he has relations with the coven of witches. Could it be a coincidence? Perhaps not!

So next time you listen to a song by Eminem, keep in mind how his magic is affecting you. Like he said in his song "Dark Magic", perhaps you are under his spell now.
