Sitting at the table, sweating, silently crying, and hoping. Hoping that I wouldn’t be chosen. Hoping that it would all be over. And hoping, hoping that I could recover. Recover from this disaster of a state I’m in right now. Why did I have to the be “The Chosen”. Every year one living Muggle is transformed into a “detective” of the Minister Ghoul. Detective.. what a funny word! Important, useful, and independent. Not what I’m about to do. No, TOY would be the better word. Toy of the Ghoul as he twists us around his little, rotting fingers. Oh gosh, please let me go home tonight. “Kaviya Raymond, come join us.”
