Leela snatched her phone out of her pocket and hurriedly dialed her mom. "Mom, Dad's missing and on the tv it says he disappeared and there have been six so far from our town! What's happening? Where is he? Why was he taken?" "Slow down, honey. What happened?" " I don't know what happened! Dad disappeared! Where is he?!" Leela knew she was hysterical, but she didn't care. Her dad was missing! "Don't worry, I'm coming home. I'll explain everything to you," Five minutes later, a car pulled up and her mom raced in. "Six weeks ago, a girl about your age was playing at a park and went missing. Everyone thought she ran away because her parents were cruel to her. But since then, someone has disappeared every week. Now that we know our family has been targeted, I want you to stay inside except for school, okay?" "Fine," Leela huffed. "Why was Dad taken?" "We don't know, but the police are investigating," her mom responded. Leela rolled her eyes. The police would never find him, if they had been searching for six weeks! She hoped he would be okay.
