Gone

Chapter 2

"Dad, I'm home," Leela shouted as she walked through the door. "Can you help me with my math?" Nobody answered, but she could hear the tv going. Strange. Her dad never watched tv until the whole family was home. She walked into the living room in time to hear the end of a news report. "The most recent disappearance was today, estimated to take place at about three pm. This is the sixth in as many weeks. Where are they going?" Leela flipped the channel worriedly. "The disappearance this week appears to be a 37 year old man by the name of George Roberts. There is no noticeable connection between the disappearances." Leela dropped the remote and collapsed on the couch. Could her father be one of the people who was taken? Why?
