Chapter 5

Chapter 5 - Crushes and I don't mean the soda. And now we come to the romance of the story, who you might ask? Yup your right, Clio and Damian. Ever since Tiana and the girls were younger they would go outside and play cops and robbers and usually Damian would join in. He has changed so much since then and so have a lot of things in Rhodos.(their island they live on in case you don't remember)Anyway, ever since they were kids the girls saw Clio and Damian developing crushes for each other which makes sense since they are both alike and many ways. As usual the girls were hanging out at the Spot, their hangout/fort place when Damian came busting in telling them to come outside because there was this vibrant-colored Sliz. FYI a sliz is a foreign creature only found in Rhodos. They were like a mixture of a snake and lizard. They were perfectly harmless unless you stumbled upon a Damethysus Sliz. Those are the poisonous ones. Back to the story, the girls followed Damian out onto the grass and saw the Sliz crawling around. It was the fattest Sliz they had ever seen. Clio being herself went over to the snake before we could say anything. She reached out her hand and was about to touch it and it snapped at her and bit her. Clio fell to the ground and yelled out,'' Owwww, it burns!!" Damian grabbed some herb leaves and pushed them onto her bitten place and Flora ran to the house and got bandages to wrap around it. You may be curious as to why Damian rushed to her rescue. Well, first of all they were crushes and second from Damian reading all those books he had taken an interest in herbs and healing potions stuff so he was best choice for that kind of thing. Then he grabbed her into his arms and walked her into the house to let her lay down on the couch. After a few hours Clio woke up and was feeling a lot better. She hardly remembered what had happened. Flora and Tiana explained to her how scared they were about her dying and what had happened.Their assumptions were a little over dramatic but they were girls, give them a break Once that conversation was done Flora brought up how Damian had come to her rescue and how he was her Knight in Shining Armour. It was a little awkward for Tiana to hear them talk about her brother that way but she knew she should be happy for them even though they weren't dating. While this was happening Clio could not help but blush and giggle away at Flora being so overdramatic. Clio was still tired from the days excitement and Flora and Tiana decided they should take her home. Only they needed to drive her home since she couldn't really stand on her own and it would be a rush to get her home carrying her so they talked to Damian so he could drive them over to Clio's house since the girls were not yet able to drive. I mean they Tiana was turning sixteen in July and then it was Clio then Flora. Damian was glad to take her home. So, they set off in the sunset to Clio's home. They arrived there and Damian opened the door and carried her in on her love sofa:) Clio thanked Damian and gave him a slight kiss on the forehead and said thank you. Damian blushed and left to go home. What a day he thought!
