Chapter 4

Chapter 4- Questions and Answers. The next day she awoke to gorgeous sun rays peeking through her white-lace curtains. In her mind she said to herself it was gonna be a good day although she was still thinking about her dad. She proceeded to go downstairs as she smelled fresh, sizzling bacon and eggs. Everyone knew Delias was known for her cooking. Anyway once Tiana was done eating she started a to do list for the day. Out of the corner of her eye she could see Delias mumbling to herself and all she could make out was something like, how did he find it? For the rest of the day Tiana was curious as to what her mom was talking about. After suppertime she finally decided to confront her mom about her curiosity. ''So, mom what were you saying today about someone finding out something?'' Tiana asked. ''Huh, dear what are you talking about?'' Delias said. ''You know this morning I heard you say how did someone find something? I just thought it was a peculiar comment.'' ''Oh, you heard that.'' Delias smiled nervously. ''Yeah, I did.'' ''It's really not important and you don't need to worry about it, at all.'' Delias said. ''That makes me want to worry more.'' Tiana said. '' Tiana, you really don't need to worry about it and remember what I tell you, to mind your business.'' ''Yes, mom."' Tiana walked away from that because she knew she wasn't gonna get anything from that conversation. To take her mind away from things she met up with the girls and they talked about normal things. Like, hunting, books,(which Clio brought up of course.)and then Tiana finally came to tell them about her concerns with what her mom said. The girls shrugged it off and said she shouldn't be caught up in people's business. Which they told her all the time and she hated it. After awhile Tiana decided to go home and left them. Once she arrived home she got out her memory box that she looked at daily since it was the only thing that contained memories of her dad. And she decided that if there was ever a house fire that she would bring that. She settled in under her covers and opened the box to see at the top was a picture of her dad. He truly was so handsome. He had jet black hair with pale blue eyes that sparkled. He was firmly built and tall. Everytime she looked at the picture she would start tearing up and then she would close the box and try to forget about it. But she couldn't, one day she commited that she would bring herself to ask about him. She knew not why she was so sensitive when it came to talking about him. Well, for one the family never talked about him and when they did it usually ended in a argument over why he had left. Tiana slowly drifted to sleep and dreamt about unicorns for they were one of her favorite mythical creatures.
