Anna had a strange feeling about this mansion, as if she had seen it before. Her curiosity drove her to walk towards it.
The water was not high, it was at a depth that he could cross on foot. As she walked to the mansion, it seemed as if the mansion was engulfing her, and when she finally crossed over, she muttered something about drawing a picture of this mansion. The mansion was very familiar and charming. And it was really big. After some time had passed, she began to feel tired. She sat down on the staircase of the mansion, after a while she felt her eyes get heavy, And after a while she fell asleep...
Anna woke up with the cold of the water touching her feet. The water was several times higher than she remembered, she tried to shiver and calm herself. Then she remembered how she had come, she had come on foot, but the water no longer looked like it could be walked.
The tide had obviously raised the water level and Anna was stranded in the mansion. There was nothing she could do as the water was rising rapidly, she was thoroughly panicked. Fortunately, Toichi, an old fisherman, saw her from a distance and turned the course of her kayak towards the mansion and rushed to her aid. He quickly pulled Anna out of the mansion, which had almost returned to the Lost City of Atlantis, and rescued her.
As Anna sat beside Toichi, shaken by this dangerous experience, something escaped her: She had seen a blonde girl behind a window in the mansion. The moment their eyes met, for a moment they seemed to form a familiar bond.
The next day, Anna decided to look for the blonde girl in the mansion. The Tanabata festival was coming up in town and she was eager to meet the blonde girl she had seen in the mansion. She wanted to relive the mysterious atmosphere in the mansion.
When the day of the festival came, Anna again picked up her shoes and went across the water, it was almost evening and there was no one there, she wondered if she had imagined it, but then she saw her, smiling at her with her blonde curls. Her name was Marnie. Anna and Marnie began to meet often from that day on. Marnie began to tell Anna stories of the town and the secrets of the mansion.
Anna and Marnie's friendship grew and grew, as if Marnie was someone from the past.
It was amazing that Anna could warm up to someone so quickly and be so friendly to her, wasn't it? Maybe it's not so surprising :)
