Chapter 1

Getting out of the sleek, black car was a hassle in my heels. I hold the door of the vehicle and hoist myself to the ground. As I brush myself off, I look at the huge building I used to call home. Holy cow, it’s changed a lot. The tall walls made of marble reflected the sun, creating an almost dream-like glare. This place was anything but dreamy. “Miss Tenshi, do you require assistance?” My driver asked. Trying not to be rude, I shake my head. “No, sir.”. I begin my walk to the grand building, each step closer making me feel sick to my stomach. After a while of the painful silence, I reach the door. I take a breath, butterflies in my stomach. I take two big knocks and step back from the grand oak etrence. One of the employees slide the door to the side, and gasp at me. “O-Oh! Miss Tenshi, you came early! Please do forgive us, the dining hall is ill prepared for your arrival.” She franticly apologized. “It’s fine, I wont be here very long.” I push past her, set for my brothers study. He’s most likely doing his work, like always. I make my way up the staircase, the layout of the house forever etched in my memory. I wind through the hallways, void of emotion. I only came here to ask him one thing, and the whole house acts like I’ve come back for good. When I get to the study, I push the door open, not bothering to knock. Like expected, he was at his desk. “What on earth do you want?” He spins around in his chair. He looks like he’s on his fourth cup of coffee, and a cold glare set on me. “Relax, I have a question for you. Don’t be such a brat.” I sneer. “Uh, hi…?” A voice comes from the corner. “Byakuya, who’s this?”
