-Professor(S) Of The Issue: Staffing Changes

Chapter 6

-Professor(s) of the Issue: Staffing Changes-

For this issue, we’re doing it a little different - we’re featuring two professors this issue! This is because of the fact that, as some of you might already know, some of our professors are stepping down. Yes, Professors Maddox and Dowler are stepping down as History of Magic teachers, and Professor Maddox will also no longer be the Slytherin Head of House. But who can possibly replace those amazing Professors?

The new History of Magic Professor:

Professor Vienna Kyrkos

It has recently been announced that Professor Vienna Kryrkos will be stepping into the role of Professor for History of Magic! We are yet to find out about her teaching, but all are assured she’ll do an amazing job, approved by the Professors Maddox and Dowler themselves! Professor Maddox commented in her announcement:

“As for History of Magic, Professor Dowler and myself will be stepping down from our teaching positions and will be taken over by Professor Vienna Kyrkos. She's well-versed in the historical facts and has written many research papers about what she has learned over the years. Please make her feel welcome!”

And of course we will! If you want to welcome the new professor, click on the link here http://www.hogwartsishere.com/viennakyrkos/ and post your welcome message on her page.

The new Slytherin Head of House:

Professor Jericho Penrose

Professor Penrose has been a Professor for Defense Against the Dark Arts for some time now, starting off as a co-professor for the former teacher Professor Silvers and then eventually taking on the full responsibility when she regrettably left. He is an apt teacher and dueller and a great favorite among students, formerly of Slytherin house and ultimately suitable to take on the role as Head of Slytherin House.

If you want to congratulate him on hs new position, click on the link here http://www.hogwartsishere.com/profpenrose/ and post your congratulative message on his page.

Comments:

“Professor Penrose is a great teacher, I really love his class.”

“He’s an outstanding teacher and a totally nice guy.”

Biography*

Jericho was born in 1972 to Demitri and Susan Penrose. He attended Hogwarts from 1983-1990. During his time at Hogwarts, he excelled in Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions, and Transfiguration, though he still achieved Os on all of his NEWTS. After graduation, and the successful completion of the Auror Training Career Path, Jericho went on to the Ministry of Magic to continue his training as an Auror. There, he spent many years working for the Ministry, chasing Dark wizards, particularly a rogue group known as the Death Eaters. He had just come back from a mission in the United States, chasing a few Dark wizards who were attempting to reform the Death Eaters, to find a memo on his desk that Professor Silvers was seeking a Co-Professor. He immediately accepted, telling his boss of the plans and travelling to Hogwarts to begin teaching immediately.

As Goodbyes to Professors Maddox and Dowler, we will post two poems written by students that were for them:

Professor Maddox is a great poet,

She is lovely, don't you know it?

She has a macaron-eye, that is fine,

In our terms, it's really divine,

She will never blow it.

-A Limerick by Lexi Horst

History of Magic really fascinates me.

In that course we students learn about how magic came to be.

But the latest lesson published is just lesson number five.

Tell us please: when will lessons six and seven be alive?

-A poem by Timothy Walsh
