Books To Read,From the Hogwarts Library

Chapter 13

I read a lot of books cover to cover from the Hogwarts library, which now adorn my bookshelf. While you can and should explore the Hogwarts library on your own,you can use my list of all books which adorn my bookshelf,as some recommended reads for first years, and these are mostly either edited/unedited reprints of textbooks or can be of help to first years to find their way around the Hogwarts castle and to know how to do things.

My list of books is as follows:-

1.The Guide to the HiH Library by Headmistress Oshiro

2.A History Of Magic,by Bathilda Bagshot(by Headmistress Oshiro)

3.Magical Drafts And Potions,by Arsenius Jigger(by Professor Draekon)

4.A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration by Emeric Switch(by ❤Melody Marvolo Riddle❤)

5.The Standard Book of Spells - Grade 1 by Miranda Goshawk(by Selena)

6.One Thousand Magical Herbs And Fungi by Phyllida Spore(by Emily)

7.The magical theory by Carin James

8.Diary Of A First Year by [No Name]

9.A Guide To Hogwarts by Natasha Mowbray

10.What Hogwarts house are you in? by Lacey Lestrange

Books at no.2,3,4,5,6 on this list are actually recommended textbooks for Hogwarts first year students,if you have ever read the booklist of required books for Hogwarts first years signed by Professor Minerva McGonagall on the second page of Harry Potter's famous Hogwarts acceptance letter, which is all over books and websites and all sorts of media in the muggle world, you will know that these five books are part of that booklist.Though, books are no longer mandatorily required for first year classes at Hogwarts, these books are still in quite a few classes highly recommended or welcomed as extra read.

The remaining five books on my bookshelf, which I read, were chosen by me to guide me on my journey as a first year in Hogwarts and to help me around the castle as I was new to Hogwarts, and these books were chosen by me on the basis of popularity, but all of them,I must totally admit were worth the read.

Two books which adorn my bookshelf as well, but I never read are:-

1.Fantastic Beasts and where to find them by Newt Scamander(by Faith Dawson)

2.Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them by Newt Scamander(by Alex Anderson)

The reason for me not reading these two books being,Care of Magical Creatures class is not a part of first year syllabus, and I was in first year, and I already had a lot to read. However,I kept these two books for reference,as and when required,in my bookshelf.
