Helga Hufflepuff, Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin, and Rowena Ravenclaw all had a dream. They wanted to educate the witches and wizards that lived in England. So they teamed up. At the time another magical school existed. Beauxbatons was its name. It was very far away from England so the witches and wizards that lived there either could not get educated or had to stay at school through summer and winter break. They all came together one evening. The percise date is uncertain. Helga and Godric drew out a map of what the school would look like. Salazar and Rowena made a list of all the subjects that would be at the school. They all decided there would be four houses. When all of that was decided, Salazar made a suggestion. He wished to be selective about the students accepted to the school. He wanted magical training should be kept within all magic families or "purebloods." The school was built. Professors were found. But there were still no students. Salazar brought up the "pureblood" topic again. Being unable to persuade the others, he left the school.
