Okay,so let's get started.I am now here in Hogwarts and I have got my pet owl,and my common room,updated some posts on my social media wall,and tried to make some friends by sending them messages and owls,lets see what comes back here to me,and who comes to become my friend.Lets go get to see some classes and study in them.

My first class was Charms in the morning,after which I had herbology at noon.At the Charms class,I met Professor Cassandra Hope Virneburg for the first time.She is a Ravenclaw(ohh I love Ravenclaws),and weirdly, strangely,she looks a lot like Taylor Swift,my muggle world role model and favourite singer in the Muggle World.Is that why,or is there some other reason,I immediately took a liking to her.Its like I immediately fell for her charms.She seems to have an interesting personality and takes her work very seriously.Charms being already one of my favourite subjects,(I knew about its existence beforehand since a long time ago as it is the gateway to the wizarding world),I was over the moon(I was really like flying without a broomstick in my mind,to be honest,I don't know if it was because its my favourite subject or it was because of her)with such a beautiful and intelligent  professor for my favourite subject Charms at Hogwarts.I have been following Professor Virneburg ever since on social media and I am excited for more of her classes.The first Charms class was an introduction to charms with information about the making of wands as foci to channel and focus the magic of wizards and witches,little snippets of information about the history of falling out of muggles and magical people and the International Statute of Secrecy.I got to learn many interesting facts about muggles and magical people and magic back then,when magic was practised openly and not much was known about how to control it.I learnt interesting facts about the truths behind the persecution of witches and wizards by Muggles and vice versa.It ended with learning about two basic charms,Lumos and Nox for lighting and extinguishing the light of a wand(and I have been lighting on and lighting off my wand again and again all day,with or without need,ever since,talk about a Muggle born being exposed to her first charm and the excitement of it)and its quite easy.A very basic spell,probably the most basic,meant to be very easy,but I sure had fun doing it all day long,its my first charm,after all.I am also looking forward to seeing more of the charm of Professor Cassandra Virneburg in the next class.At the end of the class,she gave us an assignment,a multiple choice objective assignment,in which I answered all questions correctly and got 10 points for Gryffindor at the first attempt.Next,she gave us an essay assignment asking us to introduce ourselves and say why we took up charms and also told us to make a journal for Charms recording the experiences we have in Charms class for submission as an assignment.Today,as part two of the essay assignment,she asked us to describe the journal and how we intend to go about writing it.I am more than happy to have to write this journal,because I already love writing my experiences and I can just do a Charms journal the same way,just like I write my diary.I am going to enjoy this journal assignment anyway,irrespective of how I end up performing in Charms class,though I am sure I will love the charms class a lot as well.My essay awaits scrutiny by the professor,and I await my grades,I hope I have done well.

Its noon and I have finished my lunch.Talking about the food at Hogwarts,I loved almost anything with meat on it,especially anything with sausages,and I loved the meat pies,the elves if they still cook here at Hogwarts,are doing and did a great job.I must say I did'nt enjoy any of the pumpkin treats,the pumpkin pasties or the pumpkin juice,not because they weren't good but because personally I am not a fan of pumpkin.I tried Harry Potter's favourite treacle tart and loved it.Heading off to my Herbology class.I say I am full and looking forward to some more studies and classes.

I met Herbology Professor Matthew Aspen in the corridor while heading back to my dorm to get more quills and parchment for herbology class,he was closely flanked by his professor assistants or PAs and surrounded by a group of first year Gryffindor students who seemed to really like him.All he said was "I hope to see everyone in the greenhouses".I walked up to him,wishing him "Good afternoon,Professor Aspen" and he nodded back.He looks quite handsome and wise and carries a 13 inch aspen wood wand,in accordance with his name.I followed him on social media immediately and totally like all I got to know about him.And,of course,I totally loved to know that he is a Gryffindor too(the age old famous exception of a Gryffindor loving Herbology,yes I am talking about Neville Longbottom,Harry Potter's friend came to mind.)

At Herbology class,Professor Aspen seemed to have an intense passion for his subject and love it fiercely,sometimes drifting off into his own ramblings about the subject portraying his love for it,but I must say he talks in a most interesting manner,even sometimes using puns.In the first class,we were given an introductory lecture about the meaning of herbology and its uses,the importance of treating plants with care and respect and how they are just like animals or humans,the importance of having good knowledge of both magical and non magical plants for wizards and witches,and the importance,benefits and uses of both types of plants.We were also given a short listing of the lessons we are to learn and plants we are to get to know in the first year.There was rose,a very beautiful and my favourite non magical plant in the list,coming up in lesson four,there were also some plants I know to be potion ingredients,such as Asphodel,Valerian,Lily,Nettle,Silverweed,Motherwort and Knotgrass,mentioned as easy to grow plants,coming up soon after that.I am really looking forward to learning how to grow these plants,take care of them and learn more about them,as I would love to have my own greenhouse where I can grow my own potion ingredients instead of buying them one day,and that will make me a self sufficient and independent witch in atleast one way.I am more excited about the ingredients of the Polyjuice potion such as Knotgrass and fluxweed(I believe these are two of the ones,from what I have read and heard about the Polyjuice potion earlier in the Harry Potter books and movies),don't worry,I am not planning any mischief,(atleast not yet😈),just excited and curious to know about it.I am also looking forward to learning about the rose and growing a rose garden,as it is the most beautiful and noble looking flower I have ever seen during my time in the Muggle world,especially the red variety and also the pure white one,its royal noble beauty is very charming and aesthetically pleasing to see,and its red variety is also the symbol of romance in the Muggle world.I am totally going to grow a red rose garden and tend to it and look after it and care for it and hope it attracts romance and beauty into my life,meanwhile envying other people's love stories and making poems about love,until love enters my own life and makes my red rose garden worth it.I am not really an herbology enthusiast but you can see how the introductory class has peaked my interest by making me realize how this knowledge of herbology can make my future more interesting.Our Herbology professor ended the class with two assignments for us to take,an objective assignment which I completed and submitted for grading(I hope I did well),and an essay assignment where we had to introduce ourselves and our strengths and skills,our expectations from the class,what we are looking forward to learn,with specific plants and their explicit details,our current knowledge about herbology and how we plan to use herbology in our future.I believe writing the essay(which awaits grading,I hope I get a passable grade,I think I did fairly well)just made herbology more interesting for me.I totally thought and felt herbology would be more mundane and boring than any other subject,even the thought of practical groundwork,and I actually mean practical groundwork,no pun intended(sorry Professor Aspen's love of puns is kinda occupying my mind)didnt excite me,as I have never been a fan of plant caring and looking after them,but then the introductory class and writing the assignment essay turned the tables on me and changed my reluctant interest into peaked attention and interest for this subject,seeing its potential role in making my future interesting.Now,I can say herbology competes almost quite at par with my other subjects in terms of my level of interest in studying it and paying my attention and effort towards it.Well,"thankyou Professor Aspen,your personality may have played a role,😉" in my mind.

Professor Aspen also told us we could have our own plots in the greenhouse and grow anything thats covered in our first year syllabus,using  cuttings,seeds and bulbs from our first year shelves which will be discussed in our first year classes.Its not mandatory but can be done just for fun(anything thats not mandatory automatically becomes more fun,or even more fun when its forbidden,but lets not get to that much mischief yet),and I totally visited the greenhouse to book a plot for myself and though I havent grown anything yet(I prefer to wait till the classes on that plant happen and use that knowledge to be able to grow good plants,I will start with the rose,just like the classes),I noticed a fellow Gryffindor girl and a Slytherin boy having a conversation over a rose plant.I wanted to talk to both of them,but was too shy to interrupt the conversation,talk about being me,so I just walked away and followed both of them on social media instead.

So,the long day is over and I am back here at Gryffindor common room,writing my diary.I intend to fall asleep soon after this.Today being Wednesday,I had my first Astronomy class today at Astronomy tower at 10 pm and it included an introduction where we were taught about the difference between the astronomy of Muggles and astronomy of wizards,and the wizards and witches appear to praise Muggles for being ahead of them in astronomy due to science,inventing some great instruments for observation of astronomical objects.The first lesson,after the introductory lesson was mostly about telescopes,radars,space shuttles and the like,instruments and technology invented by the Muggles that are used to observe space such as the Hubble telescope,and for other communication purposes.Interestingly,the lesson says some wizards have infiltrated the working crew of muggles in space agencies.I was so fascinated to hear that.The lesson was good and mesmerising.I did an objective assignment each for each lesson,got first a score of 9 and then a 10(it was retakeable) for the introductory lesson's multiple choice objective assignment thus earning 19 points for Gryffindor.The objective assignment,for the second lesson(the first real lesson,the one after the introduction),known as the Muggles Astro Tools quiz) is submitted to my professor and still under scrutiny.I know I have done well and hope I get good grades in the assignment.I also had to write two essays,one for the introduction lesson,it wasn't mandatory but it asked me to describe my feelings about the subject Astronomy and having lived in a Muggle world,I had many interesting points to highlight about the Muggles' receptance to astrology and as I always did have a curiosity for astronomy even in the Muggle world,and as I was quite fascinated by the Astronomy class introduction itself,I thoroughly enjoyed the assignment and wrote a more than one thousand word essay but lost it in the Hogwarts castle corridors before I could complete it and submit it.This was the most disappointing part of the day,and I am sure my professor and his assistants would have loved the essay if they ever got to read it.Anyway,I was sad but I reassured myself saying that the enjoyment of writing the assignment was a good reward,and promised myself to be more careful with my essay assignments in future not to lose them.I also wrote an essay for the first lesson of Astronomy(the first real lesson after the introduction),it was about NASA's failed missions to Mars,a kind of summarization and some research and I really loved it and thoroughly enjoyed it too.The assignment was interesting to do,though at first it seemed boring and exhausting but when I started and got to actually doing it,I actually started liking it because I got to know so many interesting facts about the missions to Mars,the NASA and the USSR.I submitted this essay without losing it,and its still under scrutiny.

Also by the way,I just realized that my diary could make an okay addition to the Hogwarts library,as memoirs of a Hogwarts student,and later,first years who come to Hogwarts or older students in my later chapters can find inspiration from my diary or just read it to feel like someone who has been through this before them is recounting to them.So,now onwards I am going to write my diary in a way more understandable to my future (hopefully) readers instead of just the scribbling I initially intended to do,just to lighten my mind.

Oh well,by the way,I got some responses to my attempts at making friends.For starters,Lily Lavender,a third year Gryffindor dorm member started following me after I approached her.I think she is looking to make friends with me too.I also joined a first year Gryffindors' dorm called Gryffindorm(after much looking,observing the members of many dorms,joining and leaving them)and settled down on a bed for my first year,and approached some people there.I hope they respond to my approaches and accept my friendship.Professor Robert Plumb of Astronomy,whom I also approached,responded to my approach as well.He now follows me on social media and I am looking forward to more fun with him in future,even if its just in class.He's a Ravenclaw,I mean come on,I love  Ravenclaws,and I would have loved to be one,but I was sorted into Gryffindor,just like Hermione Granger,as you would know if you had seen my posts on my social media wall.And that reminds me,maybe I should introduce myself like I did on my social media wall,to my readers if they ever intend to read my diary.I shall do that soon.I shall add my own introduction to my diary after this chapter,before writing about Day 2.
