Chapter 1

-Introductions-

Hello and welcome to the Hogwart’s Entertainment Magazine!  The purpose for this fortnightly issue is simply to entertain all kinds of students at Hogwarts, featuring something for everyone. It costs 2 knuts per six-monthly subscription and 3 for a twelve-month subscription.

First, a little news for this issue:

-We welcome another two writers for this issue; Debanessa Gilson and our first Slytherin, Grace Waterson!

-Altghough it was announced last issue that Katniss Granger would be joining our team, due to real life issues she will be joining in the next issue or the one after that.

-We also welcome a co-editor and gaming column writer, Tali Mere, to our team.

-Sadly our culinary writer Tabitha Lansdale, who was Valerie Portendorfer, has quit the site and magazine, leaving a space open for the writing and presentation of recipes. If you are interested in taking the job, go to the Culinary Section, where you can apply for it.

-The monthly instalments of Serial Story #3, Small Town, Huge Story, and the school Quididitch match, are returning this issue.

-Lilia Le Fay's Serial Story Running Free has been dropped for this issue and possibly the next as she needs to concentrate on a real life book she is writing and felt it was not good enough . If you would like to to return, turn over to the literacy section and vote there.

-The main article is being dropped and incorporated into the HiH section as ideas were running out.

-We have two feature (one-off) articles this issue.

Here is a simple guide to the Magazine:

1.  Main Articles - debates of topics that arise in Hogwarts.

2. HiH Section - covering news of the site and other issues to do with HiH

3. Sports Section - containing Quidditch matches of British League, International and American State Quidditch as well as a school match and a Quidditch player of the issue.

4. Theatrical Section – involving a different Muggle song each time with a karaoke, lyric video and spells + other to adapt it magically and a written scene between second generation characters such as Albus Potter and Rose Weasley with a variety different roles – different each time.

5. Literacy Section – containing writer’s advice, book reviews of both HiH library books and muggle non-fiction books, and three serial stories of which a chapter is released each issue.

6. Fashion Section - complying of two sections, one for the Ladies and one for the Men, presenting the latest fashions to readers and also containing fashion advice.

6. Culinary Section – features a different recipe each issue for culinary enthusiasts to use, involving cooking and cleaning spells as well.

7. Entertainment Section – basically a put-together of columns, jokes, memes and other things to amuse readers light-heartedly.

8. Advertisements – adverts for things in the wizarding world and at Hogwarts.

Lilia Le Fay (Pendragon):

Greetings, Readers.

I am the creator of this magazine, and cover a variety of sections within this, though I receive much help from my brilliant team of writers. The main sections I cover are the Scripts, Musical Numbers, Main Articles and Serial Stories. I also add to the Adverts, Sports Section and Writer’s Advice.

I am a British Girl in her early teens who enjoys Musical Theatre and literature. I also have five non-magical siblings who are all taught at home with me by our parents.

I am so pleased my image of the Magazine has finally come to life, and that you, the reader, may finally enjoy it!

-Lilia Le Fay.

Dean McCormick:

Uh, let's see, um...

I’m Dean McCormick and I write in the entertainment section of the magazine, and scour the Internet for Harry Potter memes and jokes for the entertainment section as well.

I'm interested in music, and computer software.  I also like trains – I know :P. I like Maroon 5, books, Maroon 5, John Flanagan, Maroon 5, hoodies, and Maroon 5…

-Dean

Maria Fell:

Hi, my name is Maria Fell. I am the writer of the serial story Small Town Huge Story , I give writers advice and I also do small biographies on HP characters for the entertainment section. I love volunteering places to help out and I love doing my classes!

-Maria Fell

Luna Silverprint:

Hi. I’m Luna Silverprint.

For the Hogwarts Entertainment Magazine I write book reviews and advertisements. When I’m not writing, I like to read, do assignments of HiH, or talk to my friends. I also play soccer and act in musicals. I hope you enjoy reading the Hogwarts Entertainment Magazine.

-Luna Silverprint

Misty Swanson:

Hi, I'm Misty Swanson. I write for the HiH Monthly News section of the Magazine, as well as contributing to the Writer's Advice column.

I spend my time on this website chatting with my friends, working on my classes, grading Astronomy assignments, and occasionally reading people's books and fanfiction in the library. Before it ended, I also used to have fun playing Quidditch with the Ravenclaw team. That's about it!

-Misty

Alyssa Ella Piper:

Hi, I’m Alyssa Piper, and I work on: information on the Potters and Quidditch Player Of The Week and enjoy writing for The Hogwarts Entertainment Magazine tremendously. I enjoy reading, writing, cooking and playing Quidditch. My favourite sweet is: Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans and my favourite drink is: Butterbeer. I was born in England and I have one brother and one sister. My best friend literally worships Bellatrix Lestrange and I have no idea why, and because of that, her nickname is Bellatrixie.

-Alyssa Ella Piper

Tali Mere:

Hey - I'm Tali Mere, co-editor and column writer for this Magazine. I was going to be a member of the original team but had to drop out due to real life issues. However, a couple of weeks ago I asked Lilia whether I could join again and she agreed, so now I'm writing my Gaming Column (look in the entertainment section) and editing articles. Thanks for reading!

-Tali

Grace Waterson:

Hi I'm Grace Waterson and I write the State and League Quidditch reports for the magazine. Whilst I don't actually play Quidditch, I love to watch and cheer on my team. Besides this, I spend my time reading and writing, doing my classes and chatting to my friends on the site.

-Grace W

Debanessa Gilson:

Hi everyone!

So um... my name is Debanessa Gilson. I'm doing the new Everyday Instances Column and I'm really excited to be doing this. It's my first time doing a column for a magazine, so if I'm not so good when I start, I'll get better, trust me.

I enjoy reading, writing, reading, making up fantasies, and reading. (did I already say reading?)

~Debanessa

Jamie Roballo:

Hey, I'm Jamie Roballo, and I do the restaurant reviews of the wizarding world for this magazine! I enjoy writing temrdously and have published quite a few books in the HiH library recently! Please check them out!
