Diary Of A First Year
We are all as confused as I am about Hogwarts having its first ever year of open enrollment. This is an artfully gripping tale of my adventures henceforth.

Oh my goodness! I feel like a thestral
trying to carry a giant!!! Who knew that first-years would have so much work on
the first day!!! This is going to truly show if I belong in Ravenclaw. That
being said, did you know that Ravenclaws don't have a password for their common
room? It's just a riddle that, as I'm sure you can guess, is the hardest thing
I've faced all day. My first question was "First
years come from muggle lands, so a muggle question is at hand, A
sundial has the fewest moving parts, yet in the night the clock departs, which timepiece
has the most moving pieces, though in the dark this no longer ceases."
WHAT! This is not what I expected as a brand new student! Needless to say I was
not surprised to see many Ravenclaws drained from their first day who didn't
want to even think of any more solutions to hard thought questions. I sat there
in misery with my fellow Ravenclaws, letting down Rowina as we sat sulking. A
few of the more adventurous Ravenclaw girls decided to go find somewhere else
to sleep, with a friend who they just met (*wink wink nudge nudge*). I grabbed
the 3 smartest looking guys I could find and brainstormed all the muggle
timepieces we could think of. It took us about an hour to come up with, but my
new friends finally figured out the answer had to be an hourglass, with its
million of sand grains moving. We will have to start working harder I'm sure
the questions can't get any easier from here on out.
Feeling disappointed in herself,
